Waging Peace, a human rights charity focused on Sudan, has released a book featuring children’s drawings of their experiences of genocide and mass atrocities in the country, over a period spanning 2003 to 2019.
The book, titled ‘The Children’s Drawings’, was released in early April to coincide with the 1-year anniversary of the outbreak of Sudan’s latest conflict, which began in April 2023.
This important date will be marked in London, as well as nationally and internationally, through protests and vigils commemorating those lost and harmed in what is globally the largest humanitarian and displacement crisis at the moment.
Waging Peace are not seeking to turn a profit with this book, but are asking for donations to recoup their costs. Further details on how to obtain copies of the book are here.
Their flyers are also on social media at: Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn if you are able to please share & promote. The book’s launch event on Tuesday 9 April reached over 200 people in-person or online, and a recording can be found here.
