A recent Iranian post has shown early images of African slaves with an Iranian family.

“I saw three of these slaves. One in my the house of my mother’s father called Saffron Baji.
Two others were in my father’s family named Golsanam Baji and Toranje Baji.

My father has a beautiful tragic poem about Toranje Baji. She looked after me for a while when I was little.

My mother’s and father’s families had bought these slaves in Mecca during the Haj pilgrimage and brought them back to Iran.

Toranje Baji was bought at young age by my father’s mother to be given as a gift at her daughter’s marriage. She was a bride’s gift as a maid.

These female slaves used to get raped by servants. No one would bother to ask how they got pregnant. And sometimes their child would turn out to be white”.
