The African National Congress could lose control of Johannesburg to the opposition Democratic Alliance. The DA is mounting a strong challenge with Helen Zille standing as mayoral candidate – she was previously a successful mayor of Cape Town. Russia, a strong ANC allie, has already used social media to attack the DA.
