The ANC’s National Executive meeting, now in its third day, is said to be split – with 34 members wanting Zuma to go and 30 for him to stay.
Another 14 have yet to say which way they will go.
Meanwhile, Zuma himself has left the NEC meeting to host visiting Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
And no-one knows if Zuma would even resign as South African President if the NEC called for him to go.
