I was fortunate enough to meet and interview Samson Solomon, a leaders of the Yiakil [Enough!] movement in Germany.
Samson is in the mold of his father, Solomon Habtom, who was among those arrested in 2003 and held without detention for years in Eritrea.
Never charged, Solomon died in prison in 2017. See the Assena article about Solomon below.
Samson is determined that his father’s death – and the suffering of so many others – will not be forgotten and that Eritrea will emerge as a free, independent and democratic country.
