A majority in the Parliament (Storting) has supported a proposal calling on the Norwegian Government to:
1. – follow up the reports “Pressure and control” and “Transnational oppression».
2. – take measures to prevent transnational oppression of people in Norway, for example, through an action plan against transnational oppression.
The Norwegian government is now responsible for ending the transnational oppression of Eritreans in the country. The government must follow up on two reports “Pressure and control” and “Transnational oppression” and begin measures to halt the oppression of Eritreans, as well as other oppressed diaspora groups in Norway. The government will now consider whether to draw up an action plan. The Parliament will officially vote on the proposal on Tuesday 19.03.2024. But according to reliable sources, the proposal will receive a large majority.
This is a great victory for Eritreans in Norway.
But the struggle and the work must continue until the Government has managed to stop the continuing oppression of Eritreans by the Eritrean government. It must also act to protect other vulnerable diaspora groups in Norway. The MPs also believed that international cooperation is very important in this case, and mentioned countries such as Sweden, the Netherlands and Canada.
What a great job by everybody, next move is to deport the tools of the dictator!!
